right at the 4th stoplight on
Main St., Dalton Rd.  King

Furniture are on the corners.
The studio is on the left 2/3
the way down the block. It
is a white two story building.
The railroad track runs
behind the studio, if you
cross the tracks you have
gone too far.

Joyce Slate Triche received the
2009 Business Leader of the Year Award
from the King Chamber of Commerce at their
awards banquet held on November,12 2009.
Our float won 2nd place for commercial
floats in the King Christmas parade on
December 7, 2013
Students performed at the Stokes Stomp on September 13, 2014. This outdoor festival was sponsored by the Stokes County Arts Council. It took place at Moratock Park in
Danbury. See

October 4, 2014 students performed at Kingfest, a festival sponsored by the King Chamber of Commerce that is held at Central Park in King.

From September 8 - October 10, 2014, 13 students participated in our "A Dancer Reads" contest. Over 9,857 pages of  dance related books were read. Four students read
more than 750 pages. As winners of our contest, they received a custom designed t-shirt, a reading duck, and roses. Isabell was crowned our reading Queen on October 22.  
She read  3,316 pages. She received a crown, a bouquet of roses, a t-shirt,and a reading duck..Certificates for all participants were given by the King Public Library.
On October 31,2014 more than 700 children received treats as part of the Downtown Trick or Treat. About 70 went through the "Not Too Scary" Haunted House.

Four students from our Musical Theatre classes - Kimberly, Elizabeth, Brittney and Tayler performed in the Living Storybook production of
Three by Grimm in Stokes County
elementary schools.

On November 16-17, 2013  Carlie,Tishana, Emma, Hailey, Laura and Jesse joined Joyce Triche in attending the Carolina Dance Masters, Inc. annual convention held at the
Koury Convention center in Greensboro. They took several hours of master classes. Mrs Triche was elected to the board of directors of Carolina Dance Masters, Inc. Mrs.
Davis was our adult observer. She video taped for the studio.
December 7, 2013 students participated in the King Christmas parade.

December 8, 2013  the Rural Hall Christmas Parade was cancelled due to weather

December 15, 2013 students participated in the Walnut Cove Christmas Parade that was rescheduled due to weather

December 14, 2013 Christmas party for all students was held at the studio.

December 27,2013 Musical Theatre students performed at Priddy Manor Assisted Living.

January 11- March 1, 2014 Snowflake Classes were held ending with an Open House demonstration and reception

February 8- I attended the Carolina Dance Masters Winter Workshop and took several hours of master classes

March 22, 2014 8 routines competed in the Carolina Dance Masters, Inc. Performing Arts Competition in Charlotte, NC.

April 5, 2014 Lyrical students performed at Pioneer Hospital in Danbury for long term patients.

April 26, 2014 Information booth and demonstration of preschool classes at Little Folks Festival

April 28-May 3 ,2014 was National Dance Week. This was celebrated with free classes for friends and homemade cookies and lemonade for all
